An EPIC Adventure: My day visiting Universal's EPIC Universe

If you know me, you know that I am a huge fan of Universal Orlando Resort. So much so, I have an Annual Pass!

Since I visit so frequently, I have come to be a "bandwagon fan" myself (see what I did there) and fall in love with their attractions, characters, and food offerings over the last 7 years I've resided in Florida. Which is why I have a variety of fan art inspired by the parks available!

Since I am still working on publishing my own online shop, I am exclusively selling my fan art stickers in person at events and markets. Because of this, transparently, I am having a hard time establishing brand awareness outside of my existing bubble. So, in order to try to find my people, I've kept up with a good practice when going to the parks.

Last Halloween season, I started taking stickers to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort. I designed a lot of stickers inspired by the event and placed them on a keychain for my backpack with a sign saying, “ask me for a sticker!” It went so well that I do it more frequently now when I visit the parks. So - I decided to do it again for my Epic Universe preview! But I knew I needed to add some more fan art to my catalog.

Adding How to Train your Dragon and Time Turner designs only made sense! I also brought some Universal Monster and Nintendo inspired stickers that I had already as well. If you've been following my small business journey, you know exactly which stickers I'm talking about!

Taking stickers with me to the parks is truly one of my favorite things. I love running into fellow parkgoers who are brave enough to ask for stickers! Especially the little ones who hold on to mom or dad to have that courage. I always have great interactions. We share our love for the parks, our fandoms, and I can introduce people to my small business!

I enjoy spreading a bit of extra happiness in the parks, particularly in long lines. Queue lines for rides or HHN houses are the most common places where people stop me for stickers. When you think about it, you're constantly passing by various groups in line, allowing you to engage with multiple people simultaneously! While waiting for the attraction, it serves as a nice distraction from the wait time.

Speaking of waiting in line. . .

I love being a UOAP.

I LOVE EPIC UNIVERSE.

I can't wait to have the chance to go back and experience more of this amazing park.

Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see more photos from my trip to EPIC Universe and to find out where I’ll be vending, tabling, or passing out stickers next!
