The Bandwagon Society was created by me, Becca Bochna, back in March of 2019. The idea of The Bandwagon Society was born when I ordered a Game of Thrones inspired shirt from Redbubble. When my package arrived, there was a note inside stating that the artwork featured on the shirt was designed by an independent artist. Being an independent artist myself, I was immediately intrigued. For years I've had the dream of opening up my own online t-shirt shop, but the idea of keeping an inventory was never suitable for my living situations. When I discovered Print-On-Demand shops like Redbubble, TeePublic, and Threadless - everything changed.
When opening my Print-On-Demand shops, I knew I wanted to give them all the same identity. I wanted to create a brand that people could identify with it, as well as the artwork. The Bandwagon Society is the brand where you can find fashion for your fandom. Growing up, I would always looked for specific merchandise for certain films/tv shows and would never have any luck finding exactly what I wanted. Now that I am 24 with 4 degrees in the Graphics and Multimedia world, I figured it was about time I started designing them myself. I wanted to make jumping on the bandwagon easier for others than it was for me. This "society" I created with my 3 Print-On-Demand shops and my many geeky designs was made for you, my fellow fans.
Since 2019, The Bandwagon Society has grown to do much more than just Print-On-Demand work. In 2020, I decided to take the leap and add an online shop to my website. It all started with my Buddy Beanies project. With each beanie that I knitted sold, I donated a portion of the proceeds to a local animal shelter. These donations help support the animals in need, allowing the shelters to afford food, toys, medicines, and other materials to make their living situations more comfortable. With the mild success I had with selling my beanies online, I decided to add another item to my shop. The Bandwagon Barrettes are my newest item for sale. These barrettes are made from UV Resin, and inspired by the same fandoms that started it all. The future for these barrettes are bright, and I have more design ideas in mind for them!
The Bandwagon Society has always been there for me when I needed it most, and I want it to do the same for the fans of my work. Finding new ways to connect with my followers has always been important to me, and I figured what better way to do that than to add a blog! Welcome to the new newest addition of The Bandwagon Society - The Bandwagon Blog. I plan on sharing my latest updates here with you all, as well as my opinions, thoughts, theories, and more on our favorite fandoms. Jumping on the bandwagon has just gotten a little more fun!
